Your replies are awesome and honestly, boosting the S would be a great great and addicting habit....Just look how much I modified my previous car in my first post!!!

I guess I am just getting older and don't want to deal with all the small things going wrong with FI and also all the CARB bs since I live in CALI.

I am itching towards the Kraftwerks kit, but its still not CARB Legal.

Bah!! Guys, just like 2slow2furious said, I HAVE SOME SERIOUS ISSUES to sort out. hahah That's why I started this thread a year before I have to make the decision. So let's keep this thread going till my lease is up next year! haha jk

Lotus Elise 2005 and up will most likely start at $30k or so, but you'll be looking at a 6 year old car.

BMW Z4 2007 and up will most likely start at $27.5k or so, but you'll be looking at a 4 year old car.

The S2000 buy-out at the end of the lease (assuming a 50% residual value) would be $17.5K or so. Budget $4-5K for FI, and you'll still be under the price of the Z4, and at least you'll know the history of your S2000 versus the Z4.

I recommend a used Kraftwerks kit...

I might be a little biased though.

Sorry to bring my thread back to life, but what do you guys think about the 08+ STI? I've always wanted one and I love the look of the hatch. I know I said I want the Elise and the Z4M, but would this car be a decent choice?

I'm turning 30 yet I want a fun car to drive around, yet something somewhat refined and something that would get noticed. What do you guys think? How are these cars in terms of reliability?

The 08 and up STis are a nice choice and if you are going to keep it stock then you shouldn't have to worry about reliablity. Keeping it stock is going to be hard though when you can put down big power with simple bolt ons. They are ugly as hell though.. I'd rather go with an Evolution X.
