Well at first I was thinking the S would not show very well. But some mag numbers make it look like a drivers race.

Basically he's not a car guy, he thinks the S4 is a light car (his words) with a big engine. He thinks it's one of the fastest cars on the planet. I wouldn't mind showing him what a $46K car (the Z06) can do. That's what I'd call a light car with a big engine.

Sigh, these acceleration-only comparisions.. how about something more exciting?

uhm,,, all of you failed miserably to consider one thing. are you talking the old s2, or the 04 s2000, if its the old s2, from a dig, s4 wins. if its new s2, watch it, its one hell of a race. i work at vw/audi, and have an 04. so far its inconclusive, ill have video soon. depends on launch, we are almost side by side at 100. and for all of you who havent experienced it, when you race the old s2, and the 04, as soon as TEC hits, it gets ugly. usually ill put a solid 3 cars if not 4 on an older car. so all those tests of 350 z vs the old S, and a *drivers race* those specualtions are gone. 04 owns 350z. hehe

see ya.. dave

Isn't the new S4 as fast as an E46 M3?

The new S4's sound mean as Fuk though, V8... It's 400 pounds heavier than the M3, that's the difference although horsepower rating is basically the same. Even mag. time hit 13.9 with the S4, and 13.0 flat with the M3.

I had two very knowledgeable 03 drivers, drive my 04 and admit a very noticeable power gain. One said the 04 was like an 03 with intake and exhaust. You ever wanna notice the diff...Punch an 04 and an 03 at around 3k. The 04 will not dissapoint.

After all the ragging on 04's (which they still will do) i think i walked a way with alittle respect that night.

hardly...AWD will rip the S2000 a new one...the S4 is comparible to an STi / EVO in acceleration.
