Don't think there will be much competition <stock> It'd be like asking which is better S2000 or Elise. IMO it's 100-0 in favor of the Elise or Vette over the S2000.

However, if you take into account the C6 vert costs $20K over a S2000 or the Elise costs $12K over the S2000 then you'll see why the S may be better for some.

S2000 + $20K (in the secret compartment) or C6 vert? That's a different question IMO

S2000 + $12k in mods or an Elise? That's a different question

I have never driven a Corvette. Its safe to say that the new Z06 is most definitely better than the S2000.

However, I like the fact that the S2000 is less common....there are a TON of Corvettes on the road.

 

The main difference between the two will be the S2000 will be driven a lot more due to fewer vacations in the shop

The C6 Corvette is objectively a better car. That is the answer to your question as it was posed. If you want to introduce other things like price or value or practicality, then the response may change. Comparing them car to car with no other variable, the 'vette wins hands down.

 

You need to narrow down your question. "Better" is FAR to subjective a term. On a Drag Strip, On a Road Course, for interstate cruising, for daily driving, for attracting members of the opposite sex, more bang for the buck performance? Or even more detailed, braking, handling, accelleration?

Also, which model Corvette are you talking about? Convertable, Coupe, Z06?

Are you specifically talking about 2004+ S2000s or the earlier versions?


Personally, I think there are plenty of good uses for both:

 

Hmm.. what do you like better, apples or oranges? Its hard to compare cars that have a huge price difference and are basically two very different cars and say which is better? I guess that depends on what your looking for.

Honestly speaking, does a stock S2000 beat a stock C6 Corvette in any measurable performance category?
