Default when is the skyline coming to the US

Well....it's been over a year now and i'm getting bored of the s2k, time to upgrade. When are they gonna bring that damn skyline over here, not for another 2 years right..?
Geez.. maybe i should get a project car or something a 94-95 rx-7.I've wanted one of those since i was 16(i'm 28 now)but insurance would have killed me back then since i was living in LA.(part time job wouldn't have even covered insurance lol..)

Was just bored at work so i thought i would share what was on my mind.

the one you are thinking of will no longer carry the name Skyline it will just be known as the GT-R
it will be using a brand new chassis, from what I hear Nissan CEO's are leaning towards putting their new flagship car as an Infiniti. They are going to be released in the US late 2007 early 2008 but will carry a hefty price tag rivaling the price of a Corvette C6 Z06
There are no known specs BUT I would think they would have
ATTESA E-TS (Advanced Total Traction Engineering System for All Electronic Torque Split) all-wheel drive system.
Nissan also promised 450hp. Japan wants the twin turbo six under the hood but America insists on V8.
quote from december issure of motor trend
"Japan wanted a twin-turbo six under the hood, but the U.S. reportedly insisted on a V-8. Nissan insiders confirm the 4.5-liter V-8 from the Infiniti M45 will fit under the hood; the question is whether it can be tuned to deliver the performance needed to keep the GT-R legend alive in Japan."
They also have confirmed the 4.5 liter V8 from the M45 does fit under the hood of the GTR

Last real world info from Nissan was a V6 TT but who knows now with American Nissan/Infiniti wanting a v8. Bunch of bs, should be an inline 6 TT.

a V8? what a waste...i hate how america deals with sports cars. just like the S4 - went from a V6TT to a V8. its upsetting that other countries get these sick factory-turbo powerplants, and all american car-producers want is a large NA V8 under the hood. im moving to another country.

edit: what does the Skyline (G35 body) in Japan have for a powerplant these days?
