I like what Michael and Heidfeld have to say about their collision. Seems like a classy way to handle it. 
Perhaps the FIA meant to say "Any driver who failed to finish the race [b]due to a wreck or an engine failure[b] at the first of the two Events may start the second with a different engine without incurring a penalty."
Considering how quickly they re-write the rules (for example, the thing about being able to change a single tire) I have the feeling that this loophole will be gone very soon.

DC obviously knows how to take advantage of a luck starting position, and Webber doesn't.
(explanation for those not up to speed on this stuff)
Webber was Jag's (now Red Bull) top driver last year, and did squat in a admitedly poor car. Now he drives for a "top team", Williams.
DC was at a "top team" last year (McLaren), and lost his job and ended up at Red Bull (used to be Jag).
DC got a good starting slot , 5th, for this past Sunday's race, due to the rain, mostly.
Webber got 3rd.
At the start, DC totally out braked Webber into turn one and held on in front of him the rest of the race.
So, the Red Bull car looks good, but Williams is supposed to be a top team, and Red Bull not. Red Bull got 4 and 7th, Williams got 5th only.
It looks to be an interesting season.
