I know there are several out there, but which is the best for a newbie tracker

 

Jason Pridmore's STAR school

Haven't done it, but it's a good one.

 

Team Hammer (may now be defunct). It sucked. Glorified trackday is all it was.
CCS/ Championship Cup Series / Lockhart-Phillips has or had a nice school.

 

I did the Level 1 Keith Code Superbike School at VIR. It was great fun and took a lot from the track time, but I could have done with a better instructor / student ratio.

VIR is an amazing track though.

 

I ride the pridmoe school at SIR and PIR every year for a tune up and it is lots of fun. For real progress after you are ready is either fast freddy at Las Vegas or Codes school. I've don both and both were great but not for the novice. I ride my r6 for schools/track play days and my modified r1 for the street.

Years ago...way way too many to count, I did the Keith Code school at Watkins Glen. I haven't done any other two-wheel schools since then but what I learned was good enough to get me going in WERA racing back in the day.

I hear good things about Pridmore's school too.
