they tend to break new ground in some ways with their high performance cars, then trickle that into the rest of the line over the next several years.
my guess would be that their next big sports car will develop the SH-AWD technology. that initially could make quite a statement about what can be done with a reasonable amount of power, and as much of it is electronic, lots of tech would trickle into accords and civics over time. i'd expect something like a big advance in stability control, highly advanced active yaw control/torque distribution like the prodrive p2, and no updates, ever.

You may note that Honda also manufactures lawn mowers, generators, dancing robots and small air craft.

Let me help you,
Who told you I was reffering to you? You seriously have some sort of mental disorder.
If you are referring to owning a Subary Impreza STI is being a homosexual I feel sorry that you are so insecured. You should get out of the closet. Apperantly you really like me but I already explained to you in public that I don't swing that way and if I did I would look for a man not a boy stop stop acting like a little girl quoting me every thread I go.
Your virtual C5 is just as big of a piece of shit as the real one. Ooops did that hurt your feelings?

And which segment is Honda getting the best mileage in again?
roadster - Miata (yes, the S2000 is more of a car no its not greener & the Boxster/Cayman S still gets better mileage)
sub compact - Yaris. Fit gets worse mileage than a Civic
Compact - Corolla
family sedan - Altima
SUVs - take your pick
The whole "greenest" thing is based solely off fleet average carbon emissions. Look at Honda's line up and its pretty obvious why. Not that there is anything wrong with not offering large vehicles and much in the way of luxury models.

How did I cherry pick examples?
Fact: Honda does not have the highest fuel efficiency vehicle in any class.
Fact: Honda does not sell large vehicles.
If you're obsessed about fuel economy don't buy a Honda. There are competitors to every single model in Honda's line up with superior fuel economy. I guess pointing this out is cherry picking? The largest reason Honda got this "greenest manufacturer" award is simply due to the fact that Honda does not make large vehicles. Comparing Honda's line up to say Toyota's and calling Honda "greenest" because they do not provide consumers large pickups or SUVs is cherry picking to the T.
Civic 26/34 vs Corolla 27/35
Accord 22/31 vs Camry 21/31
Odyssey 16/23 vs Sienna 17/23
Fit 28/34 vs Yaris 29/36
CR-V 20/27 vs Rav4 21/27
Pilot 16/22 vs 4runner 16/21
There really isn't anything in Honda's line up to compare with the Avalon, Highlander, Land Cruiser, FJ Cruiser, Sequoia. On the bread and butter models there aint a whole lot of difference in mileage with Toyota having a very small edge.
So, how about something like GM's Chevy line up?
Aveo 24/34 - better than Fit
Cobalt 24/33 - Worse than Civic
Malibu 22/30 - Better than Accord
Equinox 17/24 - Better than Pilot
HHR 21/30 (compare to the CR-V or Element 20/25) -Better than CR-V
Uplander 16/23 - Tie
Silverado 1500 15/20 - Tie
Once again, advantage doesn't go to Honda. But how about the Silverado V8s, Cargo vans, Tahoe, Suburban? Again Honda wins because it doesn't offer large vehicles.
So, where did I cherry pick again?

Hondas generally get good economy, but I agree w/ Malloric and suspect Honda's fuel economy title is attributable to a weighted average calculation methodology since they don't have many gas guzzlers thrown into the equation.
