MDXLuvr you're right!
How about the Porsche Cayenne Turbo with 450hp top speed is supposed to be 266 km/h, 0-100km/h in 5.5 secs (S2000 6.1 secs.) One thing about the Cayenne: it's ugly.
the porsche is fugly. the vw is better looking IMHO, and has the same drivetrain. of course, the porsche will be more powerful, but i don't need a twin turbo SUV. a twin turbo sports car-- that's a different story.

the M3 can be had with an automatic (SMG)
even going further back than the current model year, the previous generation M3 sedans came in automatic....

I knew somebody was going to point this out. true SMG has auto shifting options, but its first and foremost a GREAT manual tranny. there is no steptronic automatic(the usual bmw auto tranny) in the M- Line. regarding 2nd gen M3, BMW IMHO lost sight of the purpose of the M division. they were selling 4 door M3 sedans with Auto trannies. WTF? BMW decided that with the new M series- i.e. the new M3 coupe, M5, M coupe, M roadster- Manual tranny will be the only option. I don't think( i might be wrong) any of the new M division have a steptronic tranny option.
