It would be interesting if they did that with a US spec civic from say, 97+. We tend to have better safety features than the rest of the world. My civic had a massive metal beam (before I put in the cage) behind the driver's seat and it has re-enforced beams in the doors. The problem with that civic is it crumpled when it should have bounced off.
Still, if you get T-boned at 60, you're either going to get F'd or dead. It doesn't even have to be an SUV though. Your typical luxury car weights twice what a civic does too.

However, your typical luxury car's bumper would not be 6 inches higher than the Civic's floor pan, as is the case with the SUV in the video.
The main point of the video is that SUV's high bumpers renders passenger car's safety engineering nearly useless. The high impact point will easily crumple the weakest part on the sides of a car, usually the doors and B-pillar. If the impact is lower to the ground, the floorpan's rigidity will offer some resistance to the impact and thus better crash performance.
Also note the video is shot in Britain. I just couldn't help but pick out the commentator's distaste for SUVs. Americans, us, on the other hand, has this mentality: if you can't beat them, join them. The typical excuse is safety for the children riding in the vehicle. No wonder there are so many SUVs on the road in America.
