I'm gonna come clean - I once speculated that if light trucks came coated in bedliner on the *outside*, it would make a lot more sense. I'd get in line to buy one.
It's strange. I can't help just give total respect for what they guy is doing, forgiving entirely the awkward, imperfect approach. If it were a trashed-out Civic, I'd give it a free pass for effort even if the effort was entirely half-assed and ugly. Why change the rules because the car under all that crap is actually worth driving?
But this guy's Corvette I see as the result of somebody who similarly decided it really didn't matter in the scheme of things, and goes nuts. At least this way his wife is highly unlikely to demand the car in the divorce (not to be cynical at all)
