Default Your thoughts on the 07 si sedan

I am in search of a DD. For the amount of miles i put on the S its becoming less comfortable plus with my exhaust i think im losing my hearing

I was looking for some feedback on the new 07 4 door civic si sedan. It seems like a good deal at approx 21k brand new.

Any input on this car? Or any other sugestions for a DD?

Total sleeper. Edmunds or C&D reviewed it, I forgot. But they said performance was almost identical to that of the Si coupe, and because it is less popular than the coupe, you can get a better deal off of it.

Also, IMO the sedan has a better structure because that's the CTR body chosen in Japan (in the past, the ITR sedan was actually also better handling than the DC2 hatch).

I am thinking about doing the same thing. I looked at Si sedan and it's a very nice car for what it is. I say go for it.

My brother bought himself an 07 black coupe back in November. We've taken it back and forth to Georgia once and I just can't say enough good things about it. Extremely, way beyond expectations, smooth ride that really surprised me. The K20 variant in the engine bay is marvelous and the car rode at 120 like we were doing 80. The motor did not feel stressed in the slightest. I helped him do the shopping and we both agreed that, in person, the coupe is a much better looking car than the sedan, although the extra two doors would probably save a bit of money in insurance.

Far and away the most impressive FWD car I've ever been in.

I think the Si Sedan is a great deal for the money. The thing is loaded and sporty. IMHO, the current Civic sedan looks much better than the coupe version too.

In that rough price range, I would be shopping the Si Sedan, a Mazadspeed 3 or a MINI Cooper S. And the Civic Si is the cheapest of those by at least $2000.

Haven't driven the sedan, but I've driven the coupe extensively, and I love it! And like everyone says, the sedan has identical performance. I think it weighs like 90 lbs more than the coupe - which really isn't bad. I say go for it - it's my dream DD.

It is as fun a DD there is in its price range. I couldn't say enough good things about it. The only other considerable alternative would be the Mazda 3. Although as much power as the Mazda 3 has over the Si, its poor gear box and clutch take some of the fun out of it.
