i have the 06 si coupe as a DD. Great car to compliment the S which has now become my weekend/track car. The si doesn't get as much attention, and despite it being FWD, it does have similiar driving characteristics to the S, albeit the S is still the better drivers car. I say go for it and get the sedan, I would have gotten a sedan but it wasn't avail. at the time.

I'd personally rather have a slightly used tsx, but the civic si is one hell of a deal. my buddy picked up the sedan and its definitely a fun car to drive. Its not super fast but its just a car where everything works well together, the pedals, shifter, steering, seating position, etc. I guess you really can't go wrong either way, depends on if you want to have more luxury or sport.

I would drive a 4 door GTI in addition to the cars listed above.

I agree 100%. All of the cars listed above are great choices but IF you're going to shop other than Honda the GTI is a must drive.

All I can say about the Si Sedan is that I am really glad I didn't know it was coming until after I bought my Fit. I got my Fit last April and I don't think the Si Sedan was even confirmed at that point.

I bought the Fit because I drive around 40k a year and was sick of gas bills. I used to use my Element as my DD, but now the Element is a snow car and we use it to deliver stuff for the business a couple days a month.

I love the Fit, and I am a hatchback nut. It does everything well and I truly love the versatility.

That being said, a friend of mine got an Si back in October and I knew I'd be in love with it. One drive and I was hooked. My son was 11 months old at that time and knowing that I couldn't have a 2 door car made it that much easier to think about the fact that the Fit was the perfect car.

Even though the Fit was cheap, the mileage is great and it is so versatile, it would have been the toughest decision ever to have to think about the Fit over a Civic Si Sedan. It is probably safe to say it wouldn't have even been a contest...I am sure I'd have the Civic Si.

I'd say go for it!!!!

I guess I'll get the del Sol (97 VTEC) out of the garage in a week or two, and be glad I still have one toy left.

The Civic SI Sedan is absolutely my dream daily driver for 20k brand new.

You CANNOT find a better daily driver for less money on the market period!

I drove the SI Coupe a lot of times and love the car. It's not super fast but the the ultra quick steering (quicker steering ratio than the AP1 S2000 at 13.6:1) great shifter and super easy clutch make this an impressive ride.

Perfect suspension, .9g lateral acceleration with the +200$ summer tire option, good on gas, cheap insurance probably for the sedan, good resale value, Honda reliability: what more could you possibly want for a daily driver, especially coming from an S2000 you will enjoy the SI even more than other sports car owners!

Go for it 10000%

hp isn't everything. TBH the ms3 is a bit of a dissapointment. so much power in a little car but it's numbers don't stand out.
