Default Your thoughts on the G35X

2005 G35x Sedan Automatic.

The wifey wants to trade in her car soon. My little sister just recently picked up a beautiful 05 TL (auto/navi) and it's no doubt a great car. While the TL is the front runner in our decision making debate, I'd like to explore our other options and see what everyone's thoughts on the G35X are. Our requirements are simple - somewhat oppulent, navi, and awd.

Here's some of the things that make this car interesting:
- awd system acts like a rwd car when power is applied, 50/50 when in winter mode
- navi available (my fiance NEEDS this )
- 2005 has more power
- 2005 has a revised interior that looks much cleaner
- recling rear seats
- 2005 styling looks a lot nicer that the pre 05's (bumper, taillights, etc)

Please dont try to push the Legacy GT on us. We went out for 2 test drives in it and while i loved it (the manual version), the wife absolutely hated it. I did get the nod of approval that I'd be able to pick up a STi in the near future though.

I'm still trying to get the Acura dealer down to $45k for an RL.. if that happens, then this debate is OVER!

I think it's pretty cool with the fact that the AWD system is very very similar to the skyline system, but I like the coupe much better than the sedan.

I love the look of the TL's, and they seem pretty powerful. When I still had the S, some kid pulled up next to me on the highway and kept flooring it trying to get me to race. I do not race, but it looked like I would have a hard time pulling away from him (although that problem is solved now

I would let her get whatever the hell she wants. She will let you have the STI...

I have an 03 without AWD obviously. It's been a great car.

after looking at the site and equipping it to our desired specifications, the car came out to almost $40k. what made you decide choosing this car over the others? why not the 300hp s60R?

interesting choice, i'll have to find a volvo dealership (rare) and check one out.
