Your thoughts on swapping OEM wheels
This topic came up on another car forum i go on. Seems like a few owners get upset when a person takes wheels off a certain brand car and puts them on another (ie. infiniti wheels on a lexus)
Considering the fitment is correct, I do not see why some people are so against it. If you remove or change out the center caps most people would never know. In my opinion, I'd rather have another brands OEM wheels than some cheap after market wheels.
Below is the pic that brought up the discussion, g37s wheels on a GS.

Maybe someone can help me understand why this is not acceptable

The G37S wheels are a hot item, much like S2000 seats - they get stolen all the time. I think they look better on the GS than the Accord.
Very strange seeing them on other cars - even the G sedan. I think they fit the G coupe the best.

I don't mind it, some of the above pictures even look really good with those rims
I mean in the end, the car companies aren't making the rims anyways, their supplier is. So hating on infiniti rims (that are on a Honda or something) is ignorant anyways because inifiti probably didn't make them in the first place.
Still- when I see certain, obvious swaps, I can't help but think of the original car. I would not want rims on my car that remind someone of another car. I want rims that are personal, so I'm not like everyone else
