Is Z4 going to be equipped with new 3.0 liter engines outputting 215HP and 255HP which are being used on new 3 series and named as 2.5 and 3.0 respectively?

If so, Z4 will be quite competitive roadster, since 330i performance (which is relatively heavy) is almost same as S2000 already. I cannot imagine what performance figures may come out of Z4 with those engines.

Rumors have it that they'll release an Z4M, and I'd rather see that then a slight boost in the current Z4 lineup which already has a 2, 2.2, 2.5 and 3 liter engine, each having 20hp more or less then their nearest neighbour.

 

If only it looked good, I might want one.

actually the mz4 is all but officially confirmed
it is coming- the only question is what engine will be in it, the 3.2L I6(s54), or a derivitive of the e90 m3's 4.0L v8


btw the Z4 will be getting the N54 in the 2006 models

 

z4 is really hot...damn...it looked ugly when it came out...but...it invaded me and sold me on it.

 

well they will have to do some thing since they are offering something in the range of 6-8000 factory cash back already.......

 

I heard the MZ4 rumors about two years ago, but that was before the sales of this car tanked. I would hope they would facelift it like they did the 7 Series. Might be interested.
