Default 2006 BMW 330i vs 2004 CTS-V

Looking for a second, 4 door, nice car. Im tired of commuting in my s2000. Thought I'd ask you guys which car you would recommend.

2006 330i
$21,000
30,xxx miles
Black
AT

or...

2004 CTS-V
400hp 396lb/tq
52,xxx miles
$17,000
Black
MT

or anything else you guys recommend. Not really interested in a sti or evo. Looking for something more luxurious and "mature" 4 door car.

The 330i in manual is a smooth ride. Not super tossable but fairly nimble, has nice torque band and revs up nicely. I find the dimensions and modern creature comforts more to my liking than the Cadillac.

From what I've read, that gen CTS-V had fragile rear end gears.

Compare the fit and finish. If it matters at all to you the choice is obviously the BMW. My boss had a CTS when I had the e90 and there was no comparison. If you want the faster car then pick the CTS-V.

i have a 06 330i with the AT, and if you want a comfortable car this is the one to get. Mine has been dead reliable for the year I have had it. I currently have 45k on her now. I would try to get one with sport pkg. Mine has the sport, and premium packages and its equiped nicely. It is not the fastest thing out there but it is well balanced and can take corners as well as my s2000. The only thing I wish I should have gotten with it was a stick shift. The auto drives well actually best auto I have ever driven but the stick is more my likeing. However my wife likes the AT.
