Not only that, but I've read reports on RENNlist of guys having problems with rust on the 993 Targa's top structure, and Porsche denying the 10 year corrosion warranty because the targa top "isn't part of the body structure."

THAT is a complete load of horseshit, and I'd be livid if it happened to me.

But it wouldn't, because I'm very picky about my 911s...I like them in coupe only, with no spoilers (except the old 930), and with wide hips. IMO, there is practically no reason for buying a 997 cab over a Boxster, except ego, or having small kids who are in that twenty-minute-long stage of their life where they are old enough to ride without a carseat and young enough to still fit in the back.
