Built 2007 Mazdaspeed 3
Hey all,
So I had my 07 Mazdaspeed 3 engine built with forged pistons, new block, new clutch, turbo, and more, about a year ago. The car has been a massive headache and uses/leaks an insane amount of oils. It’s sitting and rarely driven, car does run well and pulls hard. I plan on selling it once it’s paid off in a month or two. It has 103000 miles. I plan to disclose all the known issues to potential buyers.
Im looking for advice regarding how to sell the car and asking price. I was going to start pricing at $3500, but these cars seem to be very cheap. Any advice appreciated. I may try trading it in and just asking fair KBB trade in, which is about $2700.

Rust is not a problem if mostly garage kept and cleaned often.
other things are mostly due to age.
i found that the suspension was a lost cause, all aftermarket solutions made the already stiff ride completely unacceptable
i since have sold it for a Type-R and wow is all I can say. I’m running 265/35/18s and in comfort mode it’s as smooth as my MDX.

yeah in that condition it sounds like a hard sell.
I have a 2013 with <50k on it and while they werent that expensive in the first place, the last time i checked MS3's are worth hardly anything. I think i estimated i would get roughly $15k for mine

Maybe I'm missing something, but $3,500 sounds like a good price for that car.
