Default E36 M3

Just wanted to update the few that were following the 240sx build thread ( https://www.s2ki.com/s2000/topic/910...ut-my-other-s/ ) that the car has been sold. A 1995 BMW M3 has taken its place and will be used as a DD and a track car. The intent of this car will be to be a fun track car while still offering the comfort to be taken out on the street and this thread will serve as small build/picture thread.

I will make a full post about the car and its history later on in the day, but here are some pictures of the new car:

Came back from a 2 week work trip to have the future owner of the 240sx pick it up the same night. I didn't get to drive it much at all and this is one of the last shots I took before I handed everything over:

I spent the whole weekend searching for the next car even though I had already found this M3, the lady didn't want to let it go for the price I wanted to pay for it. I planned on trekking to California to pick one up but luckily, my persistent ways landed me the keys to this:

I have been daily driving this since Tuesday (S2000 is in the shop due to a minor hit and run) and even though the 240sx had great power and was fun to drive, the M3's refinement more than makes up for it. I will be doing a track day (night) this weekend which happens to fall on my birthday and I am excited to see how the M3 performs.

One more picture never hurt..

It's not Dakar anymore. The yellow is a lot louder and lot more.. well a lot more yellow

I will do just that. I plan on changing the water pump tomorrow and doing electric fans with an aluminum radiator in the future.

That wing looks different from the replica LTW wings I'm used to seeing. I feel it's a bit over the top for a stock looking M3. The car looks pretty clean, why was it repainted?

Yea it is a little different because it doesn't have the risers yet it still sits relatively high. The car was repainted because the original color (Dakar I) was starting to fade.
