If the engineers were really released to do what they could it wouldn't be too difficult to make race cars which were physically too demanding to drive. Consider the canceled CART race at Texas Motor Speedway. The cornering forces were enough to make drivers brown out.

Designer Iman Maghsoudi says future cars will be capable of travelling speeds of 125mph, too fast for a human to operate manually as they lack "sufficient concentration".

As a result, computers will have to be programmed to drive them.
