Garage floor protection

I'm not big on spending too much on the floor - certainly no $2k - not if it's a working garage. This is not the best photo because there's a lot of sun glare from the floor towards the opening but it's the first photo I found.
I used Sherwin-Williams polyurethane floor enamel. The same stuff you'd see in a warehouse, for example. As I recall it was like $25 gallon; not a big expense. I tested it pretty good doing restorations where anything and everything could spill on it. Standing gasoline takes it up but it's not a big deal to repaint a spot when it happens. Occassionally a tire will take some up if I park it wet and leave it standing for weeks on end. Other than that, it holds up well to traffic, floor jacks, engine stands, etc.
Initially I painted the floor Light Gray. I found out rather quickly that while it looked nice it showed the dirt, tire marks, etc. I repainted it a darker color, the red, and it worked out much better. For that reason, I recommend darker colors.
Every so often; maybe 4 years, I move what I can out of the garage, wash down the floor good with Spic & Span, and apply another fresh coat.

I was lucky enough to score some free expoxy floor mix from my buddy. He's still in the Navy and they were trying to get rid of a bunch of expoxy mix. I grab enough of it to cover 10 standard California 2 car garages.
From my past experince this stuff got beat up on the ship's hanger bay 24hrs a day. We would normally chip and paint it every 2 years. FWIW I think expoxy floors should last about 5yrs before having to repaint. That's not too bad IMPO.
I recently used it on my rental property with a 3 car tandem garage. I just hope that the tenants to rip into it too much.
