That is why I would nevere buy a German car unless I was able to bank
$500 every pay period just in case for maintanence or if I lease one.

I started out (and still do) owning german cars which forced me to become an expert mechanic at an early age

Sure they have problems, but nothing is difficult to fix or replace. The biggest issues with the TT were electrical (now that the coilpack isse has been resolved).. window regulators and faulty clusters.
