I understand it helps on the track, but my fear is it makes it less fun to drive on back roads and that is where I would be driving mine for the most part.

I do love the Viper, I almost bought one in 2014 when they were going for $25K or so under MSRP. I should've, it appears they are worth as much or more then that now used.
wheelbase of the viper is about 2 inches longer than a 2018 911 and about and about 9 inches shorter than a 2018 Vette. Have you ever driven a viper? It’s nothing like a corvette.

I think you nailed it, it just appears bigger then it is. I have not driven one, when I get serious about buying one I will do so. You guys have me looking into them again like I did a few years ago. You only live once might as well have fun and try different things.

Can't speak for any gen but gen2, but the gen2's were a lot smaller than I imagined it would be. As far as occupant compartment, the Gen2 are tight. As tight as the S2k, but more awkwardly presented. Pedals are offset and it does get pretty warm in there and has almost zero creature comforts.

I wouldn't trade anything for it though. Power and torque are amazing, and with the big tires, it has grip for days, until it doesn't, then its scary.

Overall a very unique driving experience. To me its a throwback to the 60's and 70's muscle car.

[QUOTE=Mr.Aqua;24521756]The car's power, much like my c7, is more usable on the street.

What is your C7? I have a 14 crystal red vert with 3LT, Z51, mag ride, and NPP exhaust. (see my sig.) I love it!

We've got a 2016 C7 1LT Z51 with NPP 8 speed auto. Love the C7 as well. Great bargain in terms of performance.

Been looking at used s550s lately, and researching superchargers. Those coyote motors seem to love boost.

C7's have huge discounts now too. People are getting 20% off MSRP even on Z06 models in some instances. These cars are a steal for performance value at such prices.

I'm 4.5 years into a 2014 C7 Z51. The car is absolutely awesome and total bargain for what it can do. I took it up to the dragon this summer.

So I test drove the SS 1 LE again and got them down to a great price on a leftover 2018. I didn't want to commit to buying without driving the GT350. So afterwards went on a test drive at a local dealership and holy crap the GT350 is awesome.. lol. It didn't disappoint. Coming from the S2000 I can appreciate the super high redline and driving experience. I think I'm sold on the GT350. Used prices are coming down on the 16s into the mid 40s. Very good car for the money.. I just need to find the right color combo now.

I totally agree the GT350 is the better car for sure, Total Beast, it blows the M3 away for $20K less.
