Ended up buying this 2014 FR-S. Single owner. It only has 20k miles on the clock. Superb condition with really tasteful mods and I got a great deal on it. I actually really enjoyed it on the ride home. Dead quiet on the highway and fun to drive. It definitely doesn't have S2000 performance, but I think it will serve as a perfect daily. I already gave my girlfriend her first lesson last night too. I was able to go to harbor freight and not have to use the CX-3.
I was supposed to pickup a 2016 ND Club but the seller decided to keep it at the last minute. I'm so happy he did because I actually stayed within my original budget with this car.
As for the S2000, I looked and looked but cheap unmolested models just don't exist anymore. I'm not saying they're not worth 20k, but I didn't want to spend that much on a car I've already had for 7 years. Other members were right that I needed some diversity.
Mods on the car are: oil cooler, front BBK, wheels, exhaust, and springs. The only thing I was worried about was the exhaust but it's dead quiet. Can't even tell it's there. Good news is if I ever have issues with the S2K, this is a perfect backup track car as well. I'm sure it'll see Sebring sometime soon.
Thanks for the insight everyone. I knew I'd learn a lot from all of you, even some things I didn't realize about myself.

Looks like a great daily driver, with good mods as well. Nothing too extreme, which is perfect!

I have a good friend who has a 2013 FRS and uses it as a backup to his far more track oriented turbo NB Miata. I've driven it on track several times and come back every time amazed at how friendly and easy it is to drive fast. As you have already noticed, it doesn't have the higher strung nature of the S2000, but there are plenty of times for most of us where that's not a bad thing. One small thing for the track - the stock front suspension has very little camber so you'll need to bolt on some camber plates if you regularly track it. They quickly pay for themselves in reduced tire wear - and make it more fun too.
Congrats on your choice - I think you're going to enjoy it a lot.

awesomeness. congrats on the pickup.
Of the 3 you mentioned, that was my choice, especially since you already have an s2000.
