I like it alot. Only thing that stopped me from buying one is the rumours of an open top version coming out....I'll wait a couple years, if no further news, then I'll pick an FJ up. and I hate SUVs!!

Like someone else said though, $23K is a little deceiving, you can option yourself to death to like $30K in a hurry.

If you want a car that screams grabs attention and can go off road quite capably they are ok. As a DD or around town machine there are many better choices in my book. Gas milage is horrible.

i just went off-roading in a base model, 4x4 automatic

Amazing vehicle!

fantastic off-road....Active traction control works great

smooth, quiet and refined on road, comfy seats

the off white roof is to keep temps down.

ps. had a basic lift kit, otherwise stock, rides well with lift kit

have not been in a bone stock one, presume rides as well or better

The wheels also have six lugs. My neighbor who just bought one told me that "everything on this vehicle is +1" He probably heard that from the dealer who sold it to him.

Nevertheless, I like them. If for some strange reason I ever needed to own an SUV, I would probably buy this one. And I too hate SUVs.
