seems like when you take away the bs incentives that most people don't qualify, looks like a $5000 discount roughly. A base S DSG is around 21-22k and a Sport DSG around $24-25k. not sure if the sport is worth $4k to me. Deeper discounts on the S. these are all 2017s im talking about.
So much car for the $.

This is exactly what the S2000 was for me. I just wanted another convertible. I already have two "fun" cars, so I think I must be a bit nuts to have purchased this car but it is what it is, lol...

My daily, or commuter cars are the '02 Audi (mostly winter use) and a car I don't list (might be obvious here in a moment, why), a 2016 Chevy Equinox.

The RS is more of a daily commuter in the summer, probably counter-intuitive as it stays fun rain or shine. The S2K will be the weekender when the weather's nice (I'm hoping to never have to put the top up!) and the GT350 gets driven in cruises, shows, around town when I feel the need and as of late, autocrosses. It's still the lowest mile car in the fleet, and will pretty much stay that way....

These could be had for $19k last November (base model GTI). My girlfriend bought a base model Jetta for under $14k! This was at Sheehy VW in Va, and the dealer in DC was offering the same prices (I am blank on the name). The 1.4t scoots along just fine.

yeah you still can if you live in the areas with those dealers. But if your out of market they charge a "market adjustment" and other fees plus delivery; etc. Makes sense to buy it from a closer dealer for a little bit more.

Man, that's some good value for cars that weren't affected by Dieselgate which caused all this animosity for VW.

Nice. The 09 Mini I had was great in the snow. They are pretty fun to drive, but I got sick of the interior in mine and the AC didn't work too well in the summer.

We were from MT and weren't charged anything extra. However, we flew in and drove it home. Killer deal on these VW's either way! They had SIX Golf R's sitting on the lot, but weren't discounting any of them at the time.

Local Ford dealer still has the RS listed at MSRP plus $500 admin fee (Concord, NH). I think it was $41k OTD.

its funny because I look at the 09 and it's so much nicer than my 05. Not to mention the interior of my car is in bad shape. $500 should get just about every major panel from a junk yard and I might do that.

spoke to sheehy today. Their price doesn't include freight for $820, Dealer fee of $699, Incentive that most people don't qualify for of $1000, $1000 for not financing with them. So their price came out to +$3,500 above advertised price. Base S comes out to $22k, Sport comes out to $24,500.

Decent deal, but not worth going to VA for. Have a local dealer at the same price.
