Default 09 Z4

Jo and I had a bit of a spa weekend at our local v. nice Spa hotel and amongst some of the metal parked up including a svelte R8 was a black Z4.

And I have to say it was a good looking car and I was stunned by my reaction. With Jo having had a previous generation Z4 3.0 for a couple of months which we hated, this looked like a much more muscular car and I was impressed.

Makes me wonder what they drive like

Yet to see one in the metal, but I am looking forward to it.

I'll probably prefer the smaller & nimbler Z2 (the new model's huuuuge!) to drive, though.

Good to see a more mature, balanced style inside and out after the previous abortion.

Even the new 7er looks more like a 7er than that fat ,jowly mess before.

I think v. Hooydonck will probably prove Bangle to be the Emperors' New Clothes, in the fullness of time, but it's probably too early to tell.

Honestly Nick I was really surprised at how good a looking car it is.

If it drives as well as it looks then it could be worth a go

It is quite pretty.
I saw one today, and really liked it.

It will sell like the proverbial hot cakes.

Grudging praise from the owner of an old model ...

Not at all.

Seeing it in the showroom aint the same as seeing it on the road. Looked great on the road.

Not a fan the the TT engine myself (however impressive the performance figures)but I'm sure it's nice car

Some BMW's are starting to look a lot better, though I always thought the Z4 looked OK, especially in coupe form.

That 7 Series face lift is a huge improvement.

I quite liked the pictures of these, and it's definitely an improvement over the current model (although it would be difficult to be worse).

I saw one parked up on the road the other day, in the inevitable white , and I was very disappointed. It's a very fussy design and was a bit of a let down.

I expect it works much better in the darker colours (probably why they used a dark blue for the advertising).
