Default 2016 Mazda MX-5

Mazda have just released photos of the 2016 MX-5.

Not sure about the look tbh. My understanding is that this is a joint partnership between Mazda and Fiat. There is meant to be a Fiat version in the works.

That front end is so Penelope Pitstop, just needs some eyelashes, one for the real hairdressers.

The joint partnership is with Alfa in specific I think, so that could be really nice too.
Edit: Just saw it's now Fiat/Abarth.

I think it looks great actually, a bit F type and a bit GT86 in places. Certainly a nice upgrade from the awkward MK3 in my view.

those renderings do it no favours.

I quite liked it here;

but the above looks very awkward.

I quite like it - I won't be buying one though.

F type cross Z4

Looks very nice, I am sure they will sell them by the barrel full.

Looks like a Z4 with a different grille to me.

So is this going to be a RWD Fiat? When was the last time they made one of those - X1/9?

at first glance I loved it but on second glance, a bit too much Z4 in it, particularly around the rear lights

Still appeals though

refreshing to see it's not on 21" rims too.

I'd guess 16's given the tyre wall, so hopefully handling / set up has won over styling.
