bad luck, but it's going to be almost certain for most drivers as time goes on

not that there will be any useful correlation with accident reduction of course....

I had an idea about cameras today - one that I think a lot of people would support

After removing any cameras that are not placed in known accident blackspots (and re-siting as appropriate)

Use the money raised to put up CCTV in areas where oiks gather and cause trouble for good citizens

ie outside most convenience stores and in kids' play areas in parks to start with
Sounds plausible.

But what would they have left over to chop out amongst their cronies/supporters/sycophants/research agencies?

23 years is good going.

I had 11 until a ****ing amber light got me.

And a TS10 makes a difference to your insurance, unlike an SP30

19 years for me then TS10

TS10 shouldn't make a difference, but did for me on the budget insurers. Put me up around

Its funny all this speeding lark. In reality and in our world we dismiss speeding as a crime which of course it is.
Now Im playing devils advocate here but in essence we are all naughty children who refuse to be told what to do. the Government (Our parents) keep telling us to slow down but we refuse. A child would probably have had their favourite toy taken away until they learnt how to behave yet we gradually have points taken from us until such time we cannot use our favourite toy. Why do we not learn and just stop speeding?
This of course is complete rubbish and Ill be buggered if I stop speeding on the appropriate piece of road.
Just a thought though!

It is because we apply common sense to the situation rather than complying with arbitrary speed limits.

Sound like good news for you.

So far I am at 20 years with no accidents or speeding tickets

And long may it last

Anyway I now have track days to look forward to but empty roads are always a temptation

Russ.
Looks like the camera on Batley road.
That one of the few cameras that I agree is wellplaced and deserved. Just after a long open area where it's very easy to get up too much speed and just before a blind (ish) junction. And very visible.

Think I saw you today Russ going round tingley roundabout with the roof down.
I was coming up from Morely doing my CBT motorcycle test.
