So many similar stories on here with the S200 xxx plate spacing and sizing.

It just isn't worth it now chaps - they are under orders to increase revenue.

Yeah thats the plan...its a shame the size of the front plate spoils the lines of the car...I'm about to go and put the horrible number plate holder back on

 

Maybe he has crap writing and it was supposed to be "fail to conform".

If it's an import you can get away with it. I printed out a copy of the DVLA website and had my V5 (saying import).

And it's stupid to say ANPR can't read it as most are the same size as motorbike plates.

But it is the law, and you did break it.

 

Are you gonna change the plate to a bigger one?

 

Exactly what I was thinking - it's not America, we don't use the world "tail" to describe the rear of a car, we call it the rear.

 

Can't understand this chav tat number plate and mis-spacing carry on.

 

I got lasered in Wiltshire a few years ago and the copper who did me could barely write full stop. He had "Love" and "Hate" tattooed on his knuckles and it was frankly painful waiting for him to complete the ticket.
