Afternoon with a KTM X-bow
I don't think it's home-build vs factory build, there are so many other factors. I don't know much about BEC cars, but I have seen from racing, that the highly tuned cars (BEC and non-BEC) seem very temperamental and are always playing up. THe more you fettle, the more trouble you have !
Same with everything - I remember my mate had disc brakes on his mTb when they were still fairly new - always causing trouble. With my trusty old Raleigh I never had any problems.
Keep it simple and you shouldn't have so many problems !!!!
I have had the odd gremlin in mine (for some reason the IACV never works no matter if I replace it and the starter is a bit flaky sometimes which is normal!) but nothing major fortunately !

After Goodwood this year I got invited to attend an event with KTM trying out the new X-bow
I spent a bit of time on the KTM stand asking about prices and availability and extra's and never got an invite
...(I even have a picture of it next to my bed)
