Alarm problems
Had a bit of a moment last night; came out of curry house & found the alarm remote & Prelude weren't on speaking terms.
After several attempts to warm up remote & fire it directly into the alarm box, I noticed the red led was no longer flashing, although indicators and central locking still weren't playing.
So with some relief, able to drive home.
I've checked it out & the 12v battery's still got over 9v, so is OK. However, the -ve terminal was corroded & required cleaning up with (Smells Like) Industrial Spirit.
Nirvana now restored, which is nice.
Interestingly, whilst playing up, the remote would operate my electric garage door; one button for up, t'other for down. Talk about ghosts in the machine!

Excellent, thanks!
One of the few Bangladeshi restaurants that can still cook a 'traditional' curry without poisoning one with salt & oil as a result of being lazy & trendy. Also oild-fashioned staff who are attrentive without being obsequious.
Still have to put up with the clientele though! There's always some immature twat trying to seek attention.

No; It's the Ware Tandoori
They're all horrible in Hertford these days.
I'd like a really high-end Gujarati restaurant that's really intimidatingly trad. & vegetarian & very expensive, in order to scare off the plebs completely.

There used to be an excellent (old skool) one in Hertford - the Guru.
The proprietor (Mr. Hadi) was a kindly old guy & a hard taskmaster and it was superb. Its slightly shabby (I should say shoddy!) image usually kept the mouth-breathers out.
Sadly, he died & it went rapidly downhill, then rapidly uphill, then down again & is now a Thai Rack.
Actually, when that opened, the food was superb for a few months. Then it rapidly went boil-in-a-bag. Like they usually do.
I hate it when restaurants are that bloody cynical.

I love it when you talk about stuff.
We got into Gujarati when a guy from that area took my son under his wing and together they swept the board in pharmaceutical sales. They used to wine and dine all the doctors for miles around.
