Default alarm wont stop!

So,

Just been out to start car to go to work.. unarmed alarm from fob, all okay.. then alarm starts blaring! Have re-armed/unarmed numerous times, opened bonnet, closed bonnet but alarm is still going of...

Any ideas chaps?

Ta,
Jake.

Mine has done exactly the same twice, i think because i've opened the boot with the remote and then closed the boot and clicked the door unlock button at much the same time.

The alarm then won't reset from the remote and you just have wait for it to complete its alarm cycle. The siren will turn off after a minute or so and then you can lock and unlock the car using the remote at which point all seems to be well again. But if you try and reset the alarm by pressing any of the remote buttons while the siren is sounding it just seems to extend the time it takes to reset itself.

Hmmm, I had that problem last week after the car had been left standing in a cold garage for some time - I think it was a depleted battery issue.

I've just had this happen to me after I was leaving the gym!! I had to drive home with it blaring in my ear, not impressed. It wouldn't stop either. It seems to have stopped now but I really don't want to go near it incase it kicks off again.

I had to to put my hoody up (to muffle the noise) and drive faster to get home quicker, it would have definitely looked suspicious!!!
