Default Alfa Brera V6

Just drove one.

It looks like a work of art.

It's a nose-heavy, rubbery Vectra which squeaks and has an appalling ride. It is difficult to drive smoothly, slow or fast.

It's useless at everything. Except it sounds fruity.

Alfa should have gone bust some time ago. We'd have fond memories then.

Well, all the journos with antelopes of notes will wax earical about how good it is.

Bollocks.

All they've done is to graft Alfa 'foibles' like a weird driving position and a sharp, weirdly-weighted clutch onto an old Opel Rectum. It's so cynical, George W Bush should bomb their factories.

You could get an RX-8, an Impreza WRX, who knows what? Ok, a six-year old Prelude. All piss all over the Brera in every department (The Lude suffers from worse driveline shunt if you're not careful, admittedly). But that's it.

If this is the state of modern car design, the greenies have won.

I'm gonna buy a bus.

I have read a couple of reviews on the car and both said it was shit.

I saw one regulaly when I was on holiday a few weeks back. Covered in a layer of dust it didn't look anything special.

Great review! Really does say it all. And no messing about. I wish all car reviews were this direct.

If that's the "bus" I think it is. It'll trounce a Bugatti Veyron and any ohter contender. It's an F1 car that has an Espace body (on steroids) on it.
