Yeah, this one raced in 1935 and finished 15th. Went for a spin yesterday as he's just had all the suspension refurbed and it had been painted green for racing in Ireland so they found the original colour when it was stripped down and its back to red again now. Was a experience being driven round Derbyshire, windscreen down and about 5 degrees!

Heres another picture once i'd got squeezed in the passenger seat!
You lucky lucky man.

excellent. i thought it prodded my memory, the side exhaust is pretty distinctive

it looks a tight fit

what was it like? bumpy? remotely quick or just scary?
Yeah, pretty bumpy! He was talking it steady, since hes only just got it back but he said it felt much tighter than before as all the suspension as been re-done. It wasnt quick, we saw around 70mph but apparantly this one has around 95 bhp. No syncro so double clutch changes, brakes are cable drums, and the accelerator is the middle pedal! Dont think i'd fancy driving it!! Especially not when you know how much it cost!

they were going for crazy money. is it true that because it qualifies for the MM it's worth a premium?
