Default Another "Victory" for Nick Freeman?

Mr Freeman scores another success.

Former Eastenders actor Dean Gaffney cleared of doing 131mph on the M40 because the police DIDN'T TURN UP AT HIS TRIAL

Link to BBC website story

wtf?

If they claimed he was doing 131 mph, then he probably was at least exceeding 100 which should have meant a ban. And he claimed he wasn't even speeding.

Plus he got costs awarded!

No wonder Gaffney was "unavailable for comment" - probably too gobsmacked at the outcome

I hope we find out what excuse the copper involved gave for not turning up at the trial.

I'm all for getting out of gatso scenarios that are clearly revenue generating, but that takes the piss imo.

That is annoying! I disputed a parking ticket a few months ago and I had the traffic warden turn up and 2 police officers! I still won!!

Perhaps he was out catching 'proper' criminals

Astonishing.

How can Dean Gaffney afford Nick Freeman?

(before he was awarded costs)

Gaffney is a waste of DNA, but it's a shame that we all can't afford a lawyer like that.

Although he obviously does get results NF is only getting them due to the negligence of the courts or Police. He is excellent at picking them up on procedural & evidential cock-ups. Good for him. If they can't be bothered doing their jobs properly in the Judiciary then tough shit.

It is quite common for the filth to not turn up at court for motoring offences for whatever reason. Anyone fancy pleading not guilty on the NIP & seeing if they turn up?
