What does the trip computer give for fuel consumption?
I've not played with the computer yet. I skipped through when I first got it, but I've left it on 'miles left' since.

I'll have a look tonight.

It will improve. Expect 45+ on a run.
Longer between fill-ups then.

It's fully expensed, so it doesn't really matter apart from the that.

Well a couple of months ago BMW lent me a 520d saloon with the 170 bhp motor and it was hard to get that below 42/43 mpg so with a marginally smaller and less powerful motor - and probably a better aerodynamic shape - you should get at least that sort of economy when it's run in.

I have the same engine in my Passat, i find it hard to get more than 40+ on a run unless you really watch how you drive! Get your foot down and its drops considerably.. I get around 33-35 most days as my driving is mostly stop start round town etc. And they use lots of oil so keep an eye on that.. probably need topping up after the first 3-4k latest and mines still using plenty at 27k.. VW said the guideline for this engine is a litre every 1k!!

Still looking at having it remapped to 190bhp but waiting for a guy to come and do at some point.. That should be more fun!

43.1mpg on the computer. Didn't check my first tank of fuel, so no idea how accurate that is.

I'll reset it on my next fill-up, out of curiosity, if nothing else.

I've still got the Mondeo, never mind the S!

Mondeo is going, S is staying, for now. I'll review my usage of it over the next 8 months or so, and if it's not getting used, I might let it go.
Good

I was worried there for a minute.

Is that thing brand new?

4 weeks old and it's already spent 1 1/2 weeks in the bodyshop. Some pillock managed to reverse into it on day 5.

It still hasn't clocked as many miles as I managed to put on the courtesy car .
