Default Anyone driven a GT2?

No i'm not getting one

Just curious.

Doesn't seem like a popular car compared to the turbo or GT3. Guess it's a bit of a handful, which would be amusing

Just saw this 600 bhp one on Pistonheads - looks much nicer than other 996's

They are stunning but so are the running costs unfortunately.

For the money they are actually a very good buy these days, plus they haven't actually moved much in the past 2 years, not that i've been looking or anything!

no, but I think if you going to have a 911

it needs to be a GT or turbo

anything less is the equivalent of a 335i in BMW's range

Agree, but this is supposed both GT3 and turbo mixed into one

It's always been their top 911 model, but doesn't seem to get much praise.

Having driven the 335i version I should imagine the GT2 is pretty damned pointless unless you have a local racing track.

You've got to be good to extract any potential from it and as a result it's probably bloody awful on the yUK's roads for the average hack. Hence the faint praise.

It is the "Widowmaker" and should only be spoken about in hushed tones whilst staring into the distance.

GT3 = NA, RWD. Engine based on GT1, dry sumped
Turbo = FI, 4WD. Engine based on normal 911 engine
GT2 = FI, RWD, engine based on GT1, dry sumped

Anything less and your better off with a Cayman S as its just as good, better looking and better handling.

The turbo engine is based on the gt block too hence no rms problems. I need the gadgets and awd that the turbo has over the gt2 or I'd be in a hedge by now
