I always recall a quote from "Car" Magazine, back in the days when it was worth reading (LJKS etc)

Somehing along the lines of "The 911 Turbo seems capable of going from one speed to a much higher one without seemingly going through any speeds in between"

How's the tubo going, Mark?

Quickly I imagine
Got a boost issue at the moment but 3 and 4k, just need to get it to my local indy. When I was trying to identify when it came in i was driving in a high gear so I could look at boost and revs. I kept running out of road and speed limit . It does pick up very quickly. Once I've sorted the problem I will try and write a review.

The car is way above my driving skill though. Very easy to go quick especially around corners and in the wet.

Still really like the S that may be going soon for something a bit bigger.

If it's got a bit of a flat spot it might be a leaking dump / blow of valve issue.

Look forward to the review.

, I have already got a replacement dv and am replacing all the turbo hoses as the oem ones aren't much cop, not sure if it'll be a job for me or the indy, got loads on at home so can't tamper yet.

Will try and get a review sorted.

The GT2 isn't really talked about due to the limited numbers I believe.

The 997 is an absolute monster, but I heard that UK cars were very limited and customers were pretty much on an invite only basis.

no, but I think if you going to have a 911

it needs to be a GT or turbo

anything less is the equivalent of a 335i in BMW's range
Wrong in soooo many ways

The GT3 is to firm to use every day (even though I’d like to give it a go), the Turbo is way too easy to drive fast and still has turbo lag

The C2S is the one to buy(in the real world with your own money), it's cheaper, fun to drive and very useable

Comparing to the 911 to the 355i, you must be joking.

The 335i is quick car and a good drive, but it's a fast 3 series, nothing more

The 911 is a proper sports car, up another level in performance over the beemer and so much more involving.

Have you driven the above mentioned cars?

I've still never driven a porker of any sort!

you missed my point by about a mile

the 335i is part of the three series food chain, but not the top - fact

a C2S or C4S is part of the 911 food chain, but not the top - fact

performance of the 335i against any 911 didn't come into it

I would never buy a 335i when I could buy an M3

and I would never buy a C2S/C4S/Carrera when I could buy a turbo, GT2 or GT3

Oh, and the GT3 isn't too firm for an every day car. GT3 RS is, but the GT3 isn't.
