looks and sounds like its raining = no traction
Proper fast and mental!
I'll bet he had trouble getting his balls out of that afterwards

There's part-throttle or there's wheelspin.

That's what racing cars were like back then.

He's got good reactions; now I know I cannot drive.

Indeed.

Madgwick is a scary enough corner at full tilt, nevermind on opposite lock in the rain.

Now that is some serious driving.

God like

But as Mark says, there are some on here with similar skills who use them on public roads on a regular basis

Hopefully, after this winter, there will be two or three less

It'd be great to see Newey's lap (whom is I guess is a reasonably competent amateur) in the same car by way of comparison (if I read the comments right and they both drove it).

Yes, I should have said "at the very least a reasonably competent amateur". A bit more research has revealed the two of them won the race. http://www.goodwood.co.uk/revival/ne...ghty-gt40.aspx

Either way, a comparison would be still be very interesting to watch.

I see they qualified 2nd fastest - http://www.tsl-timing.com/?loc=club&...&tabletype=gif The faster quali lap must've been quite something.

Race lap times about 22 seconds faster http://www.tsl-timing.com/?loc=club&...&tabletype=gif
