Believe it or not, the original sketches for the Allegro were supposed to be more like the Mitsu mentioned heretofore and it might have looked OK.
Gradually the waistline & bonnet were raised to it wasn't wedge-shaped and then the panels went all fat & podgy. Sticking that Jag grille on was the last straw!
It's hard to beleive that no-one ever sparked up, took a lug, walked round the thing and said, "hang on chaps, have you actually SEEN what the hell we're doing here?"

Come on folks. If we're going to have a go at Audi, pick on the drivers. Anyone that feels the need to pay a huge premium for a fancy Skoda to impress the neighbours surely deserves our attention?
If it's ugly VAG cars you want to talk about though, how come SEAT haven't been mentioned? They claim to be Spain's Alfa Romeo, but every car they build looks like a Ssang Yong MPV.

Seat and Peugeot (and sadly Lancia) are making the ugliest cars in Europe at the moment. No redeaming features.
The worst thing is Seat are designed by the guy who designed some gorgeous Alfas!

yours is a knacker
audi buyers go there for badge but they get a decent interior whereas seats are a bit scabby in that dept but drive better...
i don't like many cars at the moment.. i agree about pugs
audi and bmw drivers are fookers.. i do a lot of miles and drivers of these two plus mercs are the ones cutting people up and driving like twats 90% of the time.. in the last couple of weeks i've witnessed near serious incidents due to the twatty driving of an A3, an old merc and a 3 series..
