Audi driver is the new BMW driver
While cycling in to work this morning (2 or 3 days per week) I had a funny run in with an Audi driver.
It was a new shape A4 and he cut me up about 3 times as we progressed through the Watford / Croxley Green / Rickmansworth traffic.
Then he ran some red lights and had a near miss at round about. So on the final cut up I said to him "nice BMW" and he said "no it's an Audi" so I replied and said "stop driving like one then" and laughed
He went ####ing crazy so I carried on laughing and finally said "sorry I take that back, you are behaving like a model citizen do forgive me"
Anyway I thought you might find this quite funny - oh and this Audi driver isn't a one off!!

There's a lot of people out there with anger management issues.
Best just to laugh and/or take the pish.

The satisfaction is that the common agressive driver won't know how to react to your laughter and so will spiral out of control and become even more angry and then you really can laugh
On that note, I need to get changed and enjoy my cycle home in the nice warm evening - wish I had the S, oh what a quandary!!

I think Audi have been the new BMW for a while TBH
I've really noticed a general improvement in BMW drivers, compared to a few years back.

I have always laughed in the face of adversity. It takes a stronger but more stable personality to always see reason and not get agressive.

Except one get does get shorter-tempered as one ages. Dunno why, exactly.

After driving the s for about a year i've learnt the best option, for me at least, is to abide by speed limits. I'll admit i enjoy the quantity of attention the car gets in equal quantities to the full-throttle moments.
What's really very satisfying along the audi lines though, is this. Try abiding by the speed limit with a bmw/audi attached to your rear bumper, i'm sure we all know the times.
Well, whilst coming through my village the other day, i stuck at 30mph, cos, well, it's a village and kids live in it. Mr BMW didn't share the same opinion, and come the moderate straight, he proceeded to overtake.
At the end of the village is a nice section of 60mph b road. Needless to say that despite exceeding the speed limit in the built up area, it took me all of half a second two conquer the distance he'd achieved once we got on the b road.
I didn't speed, nor did i drive up his arse, but it did put a smile on my face.
Let 'em speed. I've arrived in the same car park after being overtaken a few times and the comment 'nice mondeo' seems to make up for all the shortcomings
