Default "Baby on board" stickers

What exactly is the point of those "Baby on Board" signs you see hanging in the back of every 4x4 these days? How is knowing that your child is in the back of your truck going to enrich my life? And what am I meant to do with this information?

Any parents care to enlighten me.

Could be worse, could be a 'Princess onboard' item.

Goes with the SUV territory; these people are invariably braggarts.

I suppose one could drive round with a redacted copy of one's bank statement pinned to the window instead...

Its quite simple. Its to ensure that you drive more cautiously when in the proximity of one of these baby wagons and therefore minimise any risk to the 'baby on board'.

I can't believe you needed to ask what they're for.

PS my wife has one. I can't tell you why other than its a padded, pastel coloured thing that seems to have robbed my bank account of £30.

My understanding is that it helps emergency services should there be a crash however the amount of times you see the sticker and no such 'princess/child/little monkey' in the back seats, surely it defeats the object?

I think they're very useful.

Many a time I have thought about slamming randomly into the back of someone's car for sh1ts and giggles, only to spot the "Baby on board" sticker in the back window and took evasive action...

For many drivers with these stickers, they need to look a little closer to home before asking other people to drive carefully

That was my understanding.

I hope that my "Pussy Onboard" sticker draws attention to our cat carriers in the event of an accident.
