I asked at the stealers how much the service was for the 911 and thats what they told me. JCT
they probably thought I looked too common for one of their cars, and tried to put me off. Bit of a bugger, it was only a few years old, a convertable, and a very very good price. Bugger. Another car I always fancied was an aston martin, but was told they needed 2 services a year at about 900 a pop, was that bull too??
Anyway, too late now, i am in that mindset thingy, need a new black car, even though I always said I would never buy a brand new car.

Could quite be true Bassoctopus. Anyway, I wanted to ask you a favour, do you still have my mobile #? Could you send me a text when the money is required for the wash mits, incase I miss it please?
Good to hear you are still okay. We really must meet up for a mini drive some time.

There is a JCT near me, it has Lotus, Ferrari, Maserrati and Porsche.
I was allways made to feel welcome even in my dirty work clothes.
What I found when I talked to some of the salesmen was that they
would get people all dressed up coming in, dreaming and wasting
their time. One time this scruffy pikey type walked in and everyone
dropped everthing to attend to him, he was their best Ferrari customer.
Russ.

Drive would be good, if the roads ever dry out

only 1:1,000 dress like **** and have the other attributes of a poor person (say a rust bucket car outside and a Leigh Park postcode) when looking at an expensive car
salespeople know this and treat customers accordingly
those selling performance tackle also get a LOT of dreamers (aka timewasters if you are selling)
I agree that you also get people trying to look as if they can afford something they really can't
