Default BlackCircles - wrong tyres

I have just been to have my tyres changed, bought them from BlackCircle and was having them fitted at a local garage.

I turned up and the guys started work on my car (my Mondeo). Firstly they could not get one of the Steel wheels of the hub, they sprayed it with some WD40 spray and gave it loads of whacks with a rubber then a steel mallet but still no joy !!

After 10 mins they decided one would work on my wheel that was stuck on and the other would work on replacing the tyre on the other wheel.

Tyre removed, weights removed, valve removed....... Black circles have sent the wrong tyres..... 15" not 16" and in V speed not W speed.... bugger..... stop work on trying to remove the stuck wheel and refit the old tyre - sod the balancing - on my way home.

Just wondered, how dangerous is it to drive on a tyre that has been removed and refitted not a gental removed either, they didnt think they were going to have to refit... and also on a wheel that has been smacked for about 20 mins with a steel mallet!

That is what im going to have to do for at least the next 4-5 days. Blackcircle say I can have tyres fitted on monday but it will cost me an extra

They are not all that bad. They made a mistake on an order for me last year. I ordered Pirelli Asimettricos and they fitted P Zero Rosso's. Black Circles arranged for the right tyres to be delivered to a more convenient garage and I had them swapped a few days later. I tore the backside out of the Rossos for a few days for free

Same as the Focus IIRC. I am convinced the P6000 is actually made from plastic not rubber, they are awful in the wet and last forever.

By the way the Steel wheel was stuck to the Hub I am convinced the P6000 have been on the car since new (5 years and 89k miles!!!)
