Default BMW M3 as an option?

Hi,
I still fancy a facelifted E46 M3 Cab - circa 2004.

With impending new arrival, can anyone tell me the size of the boot?
Need to fit a pushchair in it

Cheers,
Steve.

I'd think very carefully about buying a cab with a baby on the way.

It'll just be a PITA.

My ex- next door neighbour, latterly of this forum bought an M3 cab with the impending arrival of a newborn. I think the M3 was fine for "occasional use", and there are so many varieties of pushchair, I'm sure you can get one that will fit in the boot of an M3 cab.

His Mrs had a 1-series, which was the "baby car" which quickly got exchanged for an X3.

I think they now have the X3 and a Z4, which tells its own story.

My friend has an M3 Cab and with the roof up he fits a large 3 wheeler pushchair in. Not sure about roof down though!
If its any help we have a Quinny Zapp which folds up into a ridiculously small size and am able to get this in the boot of our C4S, we also have a rear facing maxi cosi cabrio that clicks into this with adapters. This combo works for us however the qinny zapp is bordering on useless on anything other than concrete. Im 99% sure that this combo would fit if all others failed. Goodluck.

I've had my E46 M3 Cab now for 4 years & the boot space is quite large!

If I can find a tape measure I'll list the internal dimensions later on

Rear seat access can be a bit of a problem but there is a button that allows the front seat to move forward quickly.

They do have Isofix points for a child's seat

I'm thinking about a replacement yes.

Its the age old dilemma, finding the car that does it all.
Would be nice to keep the Honda, but if someone made a 4dr M3 cab then that would be the car for me lol!

Options totally open, maybe sell both and have M3 coupe and a track beater.
Or any vast number of combinations in between.

The VXR keeps coming up though as a solution to the kid-seat friendly car thats fun to drive.
The M5 is in there too, but I would take the older one and I hate the styling.
And there is the RS4 idea, but agian a little bland...
Karen is not big on Subaru, not sure she might warm to a newer evo10 perhaps.

Thanks for the info Lloyd, have a small Quinny Buzz that might fit.

Views on access with 2dr cars vary and are totally polarised it seems.
Some say they are more secure - kids cant mess with windows and open the doors etc.
I think it will be a PITA, mainly due to access when parked.
The kids and cars bays at the supermarket are full of M5s

I would be interested in more opinions. I have plenty of time
