Brake!
I left-foot brake in autos: why waste time getting back on the power, when you have a box to wind-up?
I remember nearly doing something like that in an old R5 GT Turbo; the pedals were inexplicably set well to the right (they used to be offset to the left in B-segments to clear the wheelarch - maybe it was an inheritance from the inline-engined R5) and I was actually right-foot clutching.
No way could you H&T it, I remember that much. Well, unless braking instead of accelerating...
