BTCC round 9 Brands Hatch
Thanks to the lovely people at Honda, and the relationship with S2KUK, I won 2 tickets to yesterdays racing at Brands Hatch, with hospitality in the Honda Owners Club tent.
Barring the traffic on the way in and out of the venue, I had a great day - for those interested in the race results Plato came first in the first 2 races, with poor showings by the 2 Hondas of Neale and Shedden meaning that the championship lead of 25 points shared by the Honda team was eliminated. A 1 - 2 finish for the Civics in the final race of the day meant that they have gone back to the top of the leaderboard, with Matt Neale having a 5 point gap to Gordon Shedden. Apparantly there are 5 drivers who could now go on to win this years championship, which makes the final round at Silverstone on October 16th very interesting.
Good to see a few other S2000's on the way in, though the only people I recognised on the day were Mark and Gill - good to catch up with you both.
We put in a reasonable effort on the "pub quiz" at the end of the day, but the NSX numpties (their team name, honest) were just too strong for us....
Honda's tent(s) and facilities were by far the best of the manufacturers there - also plenty of owners cars there for the parade at lunchtime - most NSX's I have seen in one place!

Lovely day out. lots of fun, thanks Honda and S2KUK.
Only downside is me getting bitten again - my right foream is now twice the size of my left

I did this a couple of years ago when Brands was the last race, most of the folk that went down from Scotland wandered around enjoying the sun, played on the go karts, enjoyed the hospitality, me, I spent the day out around the circuit watching the racing(some great pics of the John George accident) and would have entered the draw this year had I not been abroad, hope you enjoyed the day and it'll draw you to race days again.
