OK so I was going to see my folks today and use their place as a base for moving onto a training session I have tomorrow. I'd already been warned not to bring one of the nicer cars as there has been a spate of car thefts near them.

Ok so a job for the mighty mondeo.

Well it was until at a roundabout not 1/2 a mile from home the gearbox made a very horrible chunkering noise and then refused to work. I can put the car into gear but as soon as I lift the clutch pedal up it just sounds like metal on metal gnashing (technical term there but please do keep up at the back).

Bollox really.

 

Well the AA man with his transforming car flat bedder reckons it's either my diff or the drive shaft. We shall see what happens.

 

Sounds like the perfect excuse to get a new car Chris

 

Might have to wait for a new job but i'm working on both aspects

 

Clutch diaghphram (f**ked if I know how to spell it) or springs? My VTS clutch made a nice sound like that too when I f**ked it.

 

Dunno yet Gaz, the AA got me home but I'll get it seen by a garage on Monday
