Can somebody try this out?
Aparently,if for example you have locked your keys in the car.
if you hold your mobile phone near the car door and somebody on the other end of the phone presses unlock on your spare set of keys.the doors will unlock.
i would try this but my mrs is in nepal and i have no freinds.

i havnt locked my keys in the car.
the local "wenvoe whats on" has been delivered and it was in there.
honest.
there is also nothing on apart from a halloween disco for kids between 4pm and 6 pm?

I'm no electical engineer but I can't imagine it would work.
Phones transmit sound, unless you car alarm works by sound it wouldn't work.
Even if the alarm used ultrasonic sound I'd guess it would be out of range of the phone speakers and mics.

it works!!!!!!!!!!
put my n95 on the roof of the s on loudspeaker,then used mrs work phone also on loudspeaker.
i was a long way from the car and i opend the boot.
bloody hell

I'm surprised.
It leads me to the conclusion that if phone companies improved the mikes & loudspeakers around the 10KHz range of human speech, maybe they would be less useless as communication devices!
